Type MAK rotary tight shut-off valves are described, diagrammed, and illustrated in this free brochure for refining, petrochemical, chemical, liquefied natural gas, and power generation.

Besides addressing development of rotary valve technology since 1960, the literature cites model availability from 3 to 144 in. to operate in -320° to +1,742°F. at up to 6,000 psig. Designs comply with ANSI, API, ASME, MSS, DIN/EN/ISO, BS, AFNOR, and GOST standards.

With metal-to-metal torque seating, MAK is cited to offer "low cost of ownership" benefits compared to gate, plug, ball, or position-seated conventional butterfly valves.

Among 16 major rotary tight shut-off valves features: symmetrical seal ring in body, triple eccentric sealing, flanged or butt-weld construction, inherently fire-safe, low fugitive emissions, bidirectional, zero leakage.
