With a Shore D hardness exceeding 75, the epoxy imparts resistance to rigorous thermal cycling, impact, and mechanical shock.
EP38CL cures at room temperature or more quickly at elevated temperatures. It also has low shrinkage upon curing. This low viscosity, two-part formulation has a 100:60 mix ratio by weight plus a 40 to 50-min working life. It bonds well to various metal, ceramic, glass, composite, many rubber, and plastic substrates.
The epoxy delivers 2,500-psi tensile lap shear strength, 8,000-psi compressive strength, and 7,500-psi tensile strength at room temperature.
