GD10 gas detectors are announced to have successfully satisfied all requirements for HART Communication Foundation's Quality Assurance & Device Registration, Version 7.
The extended point infrared combustible and carbon dioxide detectors are designed for wide usage in harsh environments to protect workers and property. They serve offshore oil and gas platforms or in petrochemical and chemical plants as well as gas turbines. The instruments respond via two solid-state infrared sensors that need no calibration or service. The infrared source is silicon-based and made to last up to 60 years, declares the manufacturer. This compares with conventional infrared lamps that operate for 3 to 4 years.
GD10 performs self diagnostics and calibration test plus gives clear warning if a malfunction is detected - without giving false gas alarm.
