Measure friction pressure created by different wellbore fluids with this fully automated Model 6500 Friction Flow Loop.
It is specifically designed to study the effect different friction reducers have on fracturing, acidizing, completion, and drilling fluids over a wide range of pressures, flow rate conditions, and pipe diameters.
Model 6500 circulates fluid through two test sections of various diameters to generate differential pressure versus flow rate data. These data are then used to determine effectiveness and longevity of various friction reducing agents added to test fluids.
The system incorporates a low-shear, progressive cavity pump for injection of base fluids with flow rate controlled by a Coriolis flow meter. High-accuracy differential pressure transducers are provided for each tubing diameter for multiple data readings per test.
