Marine epoxy-polysiloxane coating: "first" resilient antifouling

SeaLion Resilient marine coating is announced as 'the world's first resilient antifouling." It is based on epoxy-polysiloxane technology.

The compound of resins and hardeners is formulated to provide highly resilient hull protection. Combined with the maker's Fouling Release Coatings technology, SeaLion Resilient prevents settling of organisms on the hull. It produces a glossy, smooth surface optimized to reduce costs related to dry-docking and maintenance.

In addition to reduced mechanical damage, the new product resists fouling as it gives a smooth surface to decrease drag, hence effecting carbon emissions via fuel consumption savings, it's noted.

SeaLion Resilient is a biocide-free coating. It has low VOC emissions as a sustainable coating solution.
