Modular recip pump systems employ five-plunger design

Quinmax S500 crankshaft-driven reciprocating pumps are announced to use a five-plunger design. This reduces mechanical pressure on internal parts for reduced maintenance requirements and increased reliability.

Its five piston crankshaft allows 340 to 1080Ltr/min at 190 to 1000Bar. The range is driven by 300 to 400Kw motors and features ram diameters from 50 to 80mm. Because load on each plunger is reduced (compared to three plunger designs) there is a 40% reduction in fluid velocity per plunger and thus lower hydraulic noise.
