This newly certified instrument meets each IEC 61508 requirement and, with SIL 2, is applicable in a number of extreme hazard duties posing high risk of hydrogen fire. These include refineries, chemical loading, compressor areas, battery rooms, and gas plants.
Additional X3302 sensitivity modes are also announced to optimize the detector for specific applications based on fire size and distance to ensure reliable hydrogen flame detection.
The manufacturer declares SIL 2 compliance fits X3302 to protect environments that may pose high risk to personnel and where fire may cause a large amount of property damage. Full flame detector data are free.
