Designed for hazardous locations where flammable gases or vapors may exist, models typically drive compressors, pumps, alternators, and transmissions.
The first SafePacks (660C) will incorporate the Cummins QSK19 diesel engine rated 660 hp @2,100 rpm at 40°C. ambient temperature. It is fully compliant with stringent environmental and safety regulations including ATEX 94/9/EC and NORSOK Z-015.
The power units are supplied with cooling system, exhaust gas cooler, ATEX safety system, and diesel engine on a common base frame.
SafePack is explosionproof. It includes JB Safe Diesel's in-house developed exhaust gas cooler, spark arrestor, and DNV-certified 3GHI PROTECTION System. The latter eliminates need for an exhaust flame arrestor on the exhaust gas cooler. This provides optimal engine performance, increased system uptime, and reduced maintenance costs, declares the manufacturer.
Designs offer flexible and seamless integration with plant systems by either hardwired or bus. They comply with NORSOK Z-015, up to Safety Integration Level (SIL) 2 according to EN 61511, OLF 070 guidelines for IEC 61508 and EN 50495:2010.
