You can detect natural gas leaks with new Picarro Surveyor. It measures methane plumes in the air, maps them, then immediately alerts users and repair teams upon leak detection - in real-time while traveling at normal driving speeds.
Based on the manufacturer's Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy analyzers, systems comprise instrument hardware mounted in a vehicle and software running on P-Cubed cloud-based processing platform. It uses patent-pending algorithms to analyze data which are wirelessly received and stored during surveys.
Picarro Surveyor's technology is declared "a thousand times more sensitive and faster-scanning than incumbent technologies typically used on foot patrol." It allows natural gas operators to quickly survey for leaks as they automatically map and display results in real-time in a web browser for fast, accurate detection.
