Duo-Chek Check Valves for low-temperature applications within the LNG Cycle - have obtained Shell Supplier Technical Assessment Record (STAR) level 2. They are now listed in Shell's TAMAP database.
Models are designed for liquefaction, storage and loading, ocean transport, storage, and regasification applications. They operate over -196° to +450°C. and now can be implemented in low and high temperature applications. Features include low leak rate levels compared with industry standard API 598.
The check valves' minimal back flow protects rotating equipment and prevents unnecessary pumping costs, it's said. Additional cost and weight savings, compared to swing check versions, are attributed to Duo-Chek's design with API 594 face-to-face dimensions.
