DATUM I Integrated Compression System is a newly developed compression concept for onshore, offshore, and subsea applications.
It is engineered with "centrifugal separator technology incorporated on the compressor's rotor in order to provide an efficient, compact compression system design solution," it's noted.
DATUM ICS maintains the reliability and efficiency of the original DATUM compressor plus reduces size and cost. Besides compressor separation technology, it features - packaged in a compact module - a high-speed, close-coupled, gas-cooled motor, dedicated unit controls, process coolers, valves, instrumentation, and interconnecting piping.
The new concept, technology, and system provide an efficient and compact gas-liquid separation method. They use centrifugal force to separate oil, gas, and water from flow. The separation process protects the compression flow-path from potential damage as it removes gas stream free liquids which can cause subsequent fouling during the compression process.
