Dieselcraft Magnum Model 180 AP Centrifuges are announced to “have over five-times the debris-holding capacity of any filters on the market.”
They’re designed to remove dirt and wear particles from oil flow all together — compared to other filters that take out solids and hold them from circulating but plug, reduce oil flow, and eventually reach the point of not working. This centrifuge’s cleaning efficiency is declared to remain constant. Model 180 cleans diesel engine oil by generating centrifugal force up to 2,000-times greater than gravity. Engine oil pressure spins the rotor at up to 6,000 rpm. This force separates solid contaminates from the main oil supply while spinning solids to the inside walls of the rotor — which is easily cleaned. Contaminant particles less than 1-micron are removed.
