Air/gas mass flow meters aid gas compressor operation

ST75 Air/Gas Mass Flow Meters are for gas compressor point-of-use measurement.

In refineries, on natural gas pipelines, or in large engine turbochargers — ST75 “delivers precision flow measurement which reducing the consumption of energy fuel gases, specialty gases, and pneumatic air,” declares the manufacturer.

Installed in large process facilities with multiple gas compressors, the meters allow operators to compare compressor usage and adjust for optimum efficiency. Use of these models at the point of compressed gas output also helps ensure peak performance at a given flow rate. Comparing performance for multiple gas compressors is also useful in predictive maintenance applications. There higher flow rates may indicate leaking valves or seals in one unit versus other units operating under similar conditions. Full ST75 details are free.
