TMdrive-XL75 variable frequency drives power electric motors driving large gas pipeline or petrochemical plant compressors.
The high-power designs work with a three-phase synchronous or induction motor. They produce up to 21,600-hp to a compressor, with 3,600-rpm and above variable speeds. Several TMdrive-XL75s can be run in parallel to drive a larger motor.
These drives produce a 6-kV output so no transformer is required. They control motor current and frequency plus avoid current surge.
Among TMdrive-XL75 benefits: high power levels and speeds for compressor applications, reliability via conservative design, expected 20-yr drive MTBF, and 98.6% energy efficiency to minimize energy losses.
