Miniature differential pressure transmitters: low cost alternatives

These new 1002 and 1020 miniature DP transmitters are announced as “low-cost alternatives for many filtration, level, flow, and heat exchanger applications.” It’s noted traditional sensing approaches often have unnecessary features that needlessly inflate cost.

The instruments use the manufacturer’s proven design plus same pressure bodies and sensors and transmitter technology as larger models. Both models offer current or voltage output, rated at 4-20 mA or 0-5 V with 10% accuracy and 5% repeatability. They are optionally available with 1-in.-diameter durable plastic cases and 1/8-in. NPT porting.

Model 1002 with a piston sensor offers 0 to 4, to 0 to 75 psid DP range and 3,000 psig maximum line pressure rating.

Model 1020 with diaphragm sensor has a 0 to 25-in. water to 0 to 10 psid DP range with 1,000-psig maximum line pressure rating. If 2% accuracy is needed, standard size DP transmitter models are available.
