ATEX-approved load cells serve oilfield, hazardous locations

Stainless steel Model 3400 load cells like this are ATEX approved for oil, gas, and hazardous location uses.

Intrinsically safe, they provide a sealed connector and signal amplification to deliver IP68 environmental protection and to meet ATEX Zone 1 designation II 2 G Ex ib IIC T4.

Model 3400 represents a load cell group of various capacities from 100 to 100K lbf — all with the same internal 4 to 20 mA loop-powered amplifier and 4,000 to 5,000-ohm strain gage bridge values. The line includes tension and compression low profile, compression only low profile, and tension-compression column type load cells as well as load pins, compression beam, and tension link.

The CE-certified load cells are specially designed with loop-powered intrinsically safe amplified output. They comprise high resistance strain gages for low current loop power and shielded internal amplifier for extra-low emissions and minimal EMI susceptibility.
