Embreak emulsion breakers are announced to couple new chemistry for light and medium-density crude oils with first generation heavy crude oil emulsion breakers.
The newest product group of oil-soluble demulsifiers offers a lower environmental footprint. They are formulated to help light-to-medium crude oil refineries reduce nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE), a chemical by-product of emulsion breaker intermediate products. This can help optimize desalter performance at reduced chemical costs — while also reducing potential environmental impact, it’s noted. The emulsion breakers have proven successful in a variety of oils with 22+ API gravity.
