Hydrocarbon traps reduce hydrocarbon for spectroscopy

Systech Hydrocarbon Traps are newly announced to reduce hydrocarbon to trace levels for mass spectroscopy applications.

They are based on activated carbon and with minimum pressure loss. New sensitivity significantly improves signal-to-noise for all mass spectroscopy applications. Because the device removes background hydrocarbons for very low trace determinations of <15-ppb, they effectively assist LC/MS (MS) or TOF/MS where instrumentation is extremely sensitive. It connects between a nitrogen gas generator and the LC/MS (MS) to TOF/MS. A choice of 20 and 40-liters/min flow rates accommodate high gas flow rates, 300 psi, 572°F.
