G8.3E, QSL9G, G855E, and GTA855E stationary natural gas engines have received EPA certification. They are certified to EPA Spark Ignition New Source Performance Standard (SI NSPS) 40 CFR60, Subpart JJJJ standards. Models are capable of meeting more stringent emissions regulations including Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Chapter 117 requirements for ozone nonattainment areas.
Three-way catalyst is employed to meet the standards to reduce all regulated emissions constituents. Use of the catalyst allows these engines to meet Jan. 1, 2011, EPA SI NSPS requirement of 1.0-g/hp-hr NOx, 2.0-g/hp-hr CO and 0.7-g/hp-hr VOC for engines 100 to 499 hp (75 to 372 kW). Use of the engine control and aftertreatment system enables flexibility to operate in most all-gas plays including Dallas/Fort Worth area of the Barnett Shale.
