Vibration transmitters monitor hazardous area gas pipeline pumping stations

Hazardous-area-approved Series 640 vibration transmitters monitor motors and pumps at natural gas pipeline pumping stations. These rugged, two-wire, loop powered, 4 to 20-mA sensors “are manufactured to meet specific natural gas industry design requirements, including certification in accordance with ATEX and CSA for use in hazardous areas,” declares their manufacturer.

Series 640’s motor and pump vibration monitoring design helps determine machinery health, plan maintenance intervals, reduce downtime, and avoid catastrophic loss at natural gas pipeline pumping stations. Models are enclosed in welded, hermetically sealed, stainless steel housings. Explosionproof versions are also available. They offer hazardous area certifications used on gas and oil wellheads, supply lines, natural gas reciprocating engines, or multi-stage gas compressors.
