When directly mounted to a gas turbine’s combustor, new Series 176 pressure sensors provide continuous combustion dynamics data monitoring.
These high-temperature instruments detect and measure dynamic pressure phenomena and combustion instability in up to 986°F. / 530°C. They are ATEX and CSA certified for use in hazardous areas.
Series 176 is engineered to be especially suited for gas turbine monitoring with sensitivities to 17 pC/psi and 2.5 pC/kPa and ranges from 20 psi / 140 kPa dynamic to 400 psi / 2760 kPa static.
Mounting the pressure sensors to the combustor gives gas turbine operators critical diagnostics, parts fatigue analysis, plus ability to continuously monitor and control emissions, declares the manufacturer. They also help save time during combustion inspections and overhauls with the elimination of tubing and a purging system. Series 176’s high frequency capability also enables use of auto-tuning and online diagnostic monitoring systems.
