Gas filtration filters and separators are described, charted, and explained in this free six-page brochure.
An expanded, labeled diagram depicts a variety of production, treatment, pipeline, and distribution applications and uses for dry gas filters, filter/separators, and coalescers. These include before gas reaches a meter in production, send it through a dry gas filter or filter separator. In treatment use one of the manufacturer’s filter/separators or coalescer before gas enters a sieve.
The horizontal or vertical dry gas filters are cited to remove particulate contamination from dry gas including dust, dirt, sand, and pipe scale. Two standard cartridges offer 1 or 0.5-micron ratings.
Filter/separator designs remove the same contamination as the dry gas types plus liquids including water, natural gas liquids, and light hydrocarbons. They include two-stage construction with cartridges and mist eliminator.
Coalescers remove compressor oil, trace hydrocarbons, and water with standard high efficiency 0.3-micron or reverse flow coalescer.
