Underwater ultrasonic thickness gauge unveiled

Accurately measure wall thickness, coating thickness and extent of corrosion of all metals with new CHECK•LINE TI-UMX2 underwater ultrasonic thickness gauge. It also locates blind surface pits/flaws.

Features include 0.001-in. / 0.01 mm resolution with a measuring range (in steel) from 0.025 to 19.99 in./0.63 to 508 mm.

TI-UMX2’s waterproof housing is illuminated and rated for up to 1,000 ft/300 m dive depths. It comprises dual, bright back-lit LCD displays for low-light conditions. Over-sized single-button control and clever menu structure are said to allow gauge setup and menu navigation above or below water, even when wearing thick gloves.

The gauges feature a built-in datalogger. It stores 5,000 readings, settings, and A-Scan waveforms in sequential or grid row/column format. It can also transfer data and configuration settings to a PC using the maker’s DataComm software — included along with transfer cable. Full CHECK•LINE TI-UMX2 details are free.
