TRICANTER three-phase decanters enable simultaneous separation of two immiscible liquids with different densities and one solid phase — provided the solid phase is the heaviest.
Because the most important difference from a decanter is the separate discharge of the two liquid phases — TRICANTER discharges the heavy liquid through an adjustable impeller under pressure and the light phase by gravity. The adjustable impeller allows adjusting the separation zone and degree of separation within the machine during operation. This optimizes purity of the liquids and may possibly eliminate downstream equipment, notes TRICANTER’s manufacturer.
Among oil recovery benefits with this three-phase design are approximately 90% of existing oil is recovered. Recovered oil can be reused as crude. Transportation, disposal, and incineration costs are reduced because only 10 to 20% of the original volume remains for waste disposal.
With TRICANTER there is automatic and continuous operation, even at varying compositions. Complete three-phase decanters information is yours free upon request.
