This free datasheet is a case history which presents how LO-CAT II Process achieves H2S oxidation for offshore platforms.
LO-CAT II was part of a natural gas sweetening train in the Gulf of Mexico. It consisted of both an amine unit and LO-CAT II unit. How LO-CAT absorbed hydrogen sulfide from the amine acid stream, the converted it to elemental sulfur is documented and diagrammed.
Noted in the datasheet are space limitations overcome by the system along with challenges met in that particular corrosive, marine environment. Thorough explanation of LO-CAT II’s H2S oxidation is provided with text, diagram, and equation.
