Designed to monitor and control quality and process productivity, these instruments are configurable for a wide range of applications. They serve where such devices as thermocouples and RTDs would be inaccurate, too slow, or difficult to use. They measure a target’s temperature without contact to function in high-temperature environments and on moving targets — with fast response times, declares the manufacturer.
Gold Series comes in a complete range of short, long, and specialty wavelengths. These infrared sensors measure the amount of infrared energy emitted by an object’s surface — then convert that signal into a temperature value between -40° and +4,500°F. (-40° to +2,475°C.).
Each model can be used as a stand-alone transmitter in a choice of inputs, outputs, and alarms. In stand-alone mode, the local sensor interface is used to display temperature and adjust sensor settings from an intuitive text-based menu. An optional analog input is available for remote emissivity and alarm adjustments.
