Redesign of HS35 vector-duty hollowshaft encoder is announced to “incorporate numerous design upgrades to increase reliability and maximize equipment uptime.”
The RoHS and CE-compliant encoder’s phased array sensing module is a key redesign element. Its’ Application-Specific Integrated Circuit offers a wider gap between sensor and disc — up to ten-times the traditional mask-on-sensor design. The result is said to be a more forgiving arrangement that helps eliminate disc crashes. Other HS35 redesign features include 400g shock rating, optional -40° to +100°C. range, and an unbreakable code disc.
