DVP 600 Modular Adsorbers prevent hydrocarbon emission into the atmosphere from reconcentration of glycol in the gas dehydration process.
The glycol reboiler hydrocarbon emission adsorbers are designed to excel in very corrosive high moisture and corrosive gas conditions — typical emissions from the reboiler still column.
DVP 600’s air distribution system is able to produce uniform airflow. This provides optimum purification and adsorbent utilization efficiency advantages, combined with low flow resistant advantages. Units require no tools with easy entry manway for media replacement.
Integral to adsorber operation is the manufacturer’s carbon saturation indicator. It provides simple, inexpensive determination when activated carbon needs to be replaced. It works similar to a litmus test, indicating when volatile organics have saturated the activated carbon bed and breakthrough has begun.
When the carbon can no longer adsorb the organics, the media in the indicator changes color from purple to brown. This indicator is a qualitative test for presence of organic compounds.
