Newly engineered PDC bits

Newly engineered stabilization technology and next-generation cutters are incorporated into new Hughes Christensen Quantec Force polycrystalline diamond compact drill bits. The new designs are said to “deliver appreciably higher penetration rates, increased footage, and reduced costs in a wide range of drilling environments.”

According to the manufacturer: through the first 50 runs documented in fields across the U.S., Quantec Force lowered costs by drilling 30% farther and 25% faster compared to offset bit performance. The bits also use newly engineered and highly wear-resistant cutters which come in a variety of choices. One cutter is specifically geared for abrasive formations while another is for use where both impact and abrasion resistance are required. Full details are free.
