Evaporators designed to meet Marcellus Gas Shale frac, produced wastewater treatment needs

MoVap mobile evaporator systems are specifically designed for frac and produced wastewater needs of the Marcellus Gas Shale region.

They are engineered to reduce high total dissolved solids-laden wastewater volume from gas well frac operations — directly at the wellhead. There they offer advantages of carrying out waste recovery for reuse and reduction of waste discharge.

MoVap produces distillate-quality water — ready for reuse without concern for unwanted chemistries affecting long-term production.

These 53-ft-long x 8-ft, 6 in.-wide by 13-ft-high evaporators offer 1,710 bpd (50 gpm) maximum feed capacity.

Operating power to concentrate feed water to 24% TDS is 250 to 300 kW. Rated distillate capacity is 860 BPD (25 gpm).

MoVap’s combination of mobility and performance are declared to improve production economics as they minimize issues caused by water variations. The evaporators also reduce both wastewater disposal costs and freshwater sourcing and costs.
