Pfinodal alloys combine strength and formability with nonsparking and anti-galling characteristics to accommodate a wide range of land-based and offshore applications. They are especially suitable replacements for beryllium copper components, offering enhanced mechanical properties.
Pfinodals comprise copper, 15% nickel, and 8% tin. They are made using a proprietary powder metallurgy technology. The patented process produces a homogeneous single-phase structure for “excellent uniformity, formability, and strength to ensure optimum reproducible properties,” it’s noted.
